Next day on 17th August, the observatory travelled from Mildura to Broken Hill. The Big Rig and SCOOP had to wrestle the oncoming gusts on the Silver City Highway on a windy day dreaded by most Caravan drivers. Special thanks to Kevin Taylor and Wayne of the Broken Hill Racecourse for arranging a perfect venue for public astronomy. Very special thanks to Luke Howlett of Mildura High School for showing special interest in the observatory, and also arranging the radio coverage by ABC Broken Hill.
